ES SESSION CHANTER

One of the most frustrating predicaments for pipers is their inability to easily fit in with other musicians in say a pub or a jamming session. The pipes are difficult to play along with because they are tuned to B flat and they always overpower the other musicians. This makes pipers unpopular in these circumstances. Small pipes in different keys can be purchased but they are expensive and require a lot of time and maintenance to keep them in condition.

That is why we have developed the “ES Session Chanter”

The ES Session Chanter has been manufactured in the key of “A” allowing it to blend in easily with other instruments. It is made from High Grade Aluminium to exact tolerances Aluminium has been chosen because of its durability, affordability and sustainability. It means that each chanter is machined to exact dimensions, which ensures that all chanters are identical.

It has been designed with 4 component parts allowing the instrument to be easily dismantled and transported unobtrusively. Ideal for a visit to the local hostelry for a “Session” The ES Session Chanter is also ideal for groups of players to play together. The exact tolerances ensure that each chanter sounds almost identical.This makes pipe band practises more enjoyable allowing the band members to concentrate on the music.

Aluminium provides a full bodied tone using only a plastic reed making it relatively maintenance free. It gives as good a sound as traditional blackwwods and is far superior to plastic. The chanter is incredibly durable and cannot be split or broken like Blackwood. It is also 100% recyclable.
